Accommodation for English Teachers Korea
In the schools of South Korea, the ESL teachers will be provided furnished accommodations. As the schools in Korea are mostly situated in the cities so one can be sure to get an accommodation in one of the high rises with all the ultra modern and sate of the art facilities. For a teacher with families the schools provide bigger accommodations and for single teachers it is mainly a one-room apartment. The accommodation is free of cost. Mostly the accommodations are given near the school so that the teachers can avoid cost of conveyance.
The accommodations may vary with the school and the city in which they are located. The schools might give the teachers a temporary accommodation until they find something permanent. If they are unable to provide housing to the teachers a monthly subsidy of USD 300 will be given to the students.
Most amenities will provide by the school in the apartment and in case there is need for anything extra the teacher has to pay for it. The responsibility of maintaining the furniture has to be taken by the employee. Mostly all the apartments are very well maintained and has amenities like a bed, sofa, wardrobe, television, vacuum cleaner, television, microwave, electric iron, telephone and gas oven.
The bills of electricity, water, gas and phone has to be paid by the teachers.
Our teachers will be provided for the first assignment term only, with 300,000 won (approx US $300) as settlement allowance within the first two weeks (14 calendar days) of working at the school.
